Customer Notification – rain acquires 100% of Broadlink shares
We have some exciting and important news to share.
In a strategic move designed to bring significant growth opportunities for Broadlink, rain has acquired the minority shares in the business. In line with this purchase Mike Brown, current CEO of Broadlink, has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of the rain group of companies.
Mike is an entrepreneur who played a pivotal role in the establishment of Broadlink since its inception in 2007 and has built the business to stand strong amongst the market leaders in wireless technology and value-added services. The rain and Broadlink board members, along with staff, wish Mike well in his future business endeavours.
Broadlink continues to be an important part of the rain group and its future strategy. As part of the acquisition rain will continue to explore opportunities for greater integration with Broadlink, and to seek business synergies within rain through the adoption of innovative products and services, network collaboration and general business synergies.
Broadlink has been serving business customers for over 10 years and has built a strong brand reputation in the South African market. By working more closely with rain in future, we are confident that this brand and its reputation can only be further enhanced.
Owen Rodgers will be taking over as the Broadlink CEO. Owen joins the Broadlink team from rain and has played an integral role in several business transformation projects at rain and was serving as the interim COO for Broadlink. Other noteworthy appointments include Lionel Wilson who takes on the position of CFO. Owen and his team will keep you fully updated on any further announcements with respect to Broadlink.
On a personal note we wish you a peaceful, safe and enjoyable break over the festive season.
Group CEO, rain.
