The 2011 MTN Supersport shootout held at the prestigious Simola Golf and Country estate during May was a tremendous success. Broadlink was a silver sponsor at the shootout and Mike Brown had the following to say after the event.
“This is a truly unique platform involving business, sport and government within South Africa. It networks all stakeholders at the same time and place to discuss common issues. The event benefits our country, gives back to communities in need and contributes to making South Africa great.”
During an evening fundraising event Broadlink emerged as the successful bidder for a 30 minute television program to be broadcast on Supersport. The money raised through the bid went to the beneficiaries of the MTN Supersport shootout – the Jacob G Zuma RDP Education Trust and the Gozololo Centre for Needy Children.
The broad details of the show which will be hosted and presented by Broadlink later this year, was confirmed at a recent meeting held at Supersport. The show itself will be presented from Supersport’s high end HD studio with scheduled repeats. An update regarding the content and broadcast times will follow as soon as schedules are finalised.
This program will also serve to highlight the Broadlink brand on a unique viewing platform using sport to support the companies’ intrinsic product values. Indeed a winning combination for Supersport, Broadlink and not least of all the beneficiaries themselves.
