Double Olympic gold medallist and former World Champion Kelly Holmes will headline the celebrity field at the inaugural Investec JAG Invitational golf tournament, taking place from July 22-24 at Legend Golf and Safari Resort north of Johannesburg.
Holmes will be joined by former Springbok captain Corne Krige, former Proteas captain Shaun Pollock, ex-footballers Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish, Dakar rally winner Giniel De Villiers, former Wales captain Colin Charvis, Proteas fast bowler Morne Morkel, and World Cup-winning England scrumhalf Andy Gomarsall amongst the celebrities at the tournament, which will raise money and awareness for the JAG Foundation, which uses sport and education to support South African children in underprivileged communities.
“We’ve put together a great collection of celebrities and sponsors, have the perfect venue in Legend, and are set for a fabulous weekend of golf and philanthropy,” explained Tournament Director Dan Nicholl of the Invitational. “The JAG Foundation does incredible work, and this tournament offers a fantastic opportunity to support that work.”
