The Sports Trust is a public benefit organisation established in 1995. It caters to the needs of providing sports equipment, kit & facilities to disadvantaged communities nationally. The Sports Trust remains committed to its founding vision of making sport more accessible to South Africans across all sporting codes, for both abled and disabled bodies. Their service includes assisting schools, clubs and community sports organisations with access to much needed funds in order to obtain their sporting requirements. They have a co-ordinated delivery approach and follow due processes with stakeholders in sport before granting funds which minimises the risk of duplication and wastage.
Currently the Sports Trust is involved with the implementation of the Multipurpose Sport Court. This type of sport court allows for 5 codes of sport to be played including: 5-a-side soccer, volleyball, netball, basketball and tennis.
